Is there have any problem that we used Network cable connect electric bolt lock to controller? What will happen if we used this networking cable for a long time?
It is normal that a cable connect electric lock to the controller when we installed the access control system. But we must pay attention to this problem, irregular installation will cause unreasonable fault. Due to the larger voltage with the electric lock (compare with other access control system: controller, card reader), electric lock have a distance to controller. It will cause larger voltage drop. With the high voltage drop, the electric may not work. Magnetic lock with a weak suction will cause abnormal door switch. It will also restart or crash when the controller have a power shortage.
Some engineer will used network cable connect electric lock to controller for convenience. It is no problem that when you debug it. But it will cause unreasonable fault for some time.
The cable connect electric lock with controller: if the cable is less than 50 meters, it must use the section surface with 1.0 square millimeter without shield. If the cable is more than 100 meters, close the position of electric lock and controller to shorten the cable distance. It is absolutely not if the section surface is 0.2 square millimeter, even the electric lock and controller have a short distance. You can use the network cable for magnetic door signal. Someone will use the four to one network cable, it is close to regular in theory. But we do not suggest it, it will cause hidden danger for unstable port.
