Hello, what issues should we pay attention to when installing the RF card access control reader?
At present, there are mainly RF access card readers with 125KHz, 13.5MHz and 2.45GHz frequencies on the market, and 125KHz and 13.5MHz RF card readers account for the majority (125KHz is generally an EM format ID card, 13.5 MHz is generally an Mifare card in MF1 format), the two types of card readers are basically the same in application technology, and the installation requirements are basically the same. When you install an RF card reader, you should pay attention to issues such as RF interference and metal shielding.
1.Radio frequency interference: When installing the radio frequency access control card reader, avoid the installation distance between the two card readers greater than 0.3 meters, and avoid the mutual influence between the two card readers. Special Reminder-When installing the access card reader, please try not to install it against a wall.
2. Other interference: When installing the radio frequency access control card reader, you should choose a device that does not have the same frequency, and try to avoid electrical appliances such as motors, welding machines, etc., to avoid interference.
3. Metal shielding: Due to the metal shielding problem of radio frequency technology, please do not install the radio frequency access control card reader on a metal surface as much as possible, because close to metal will cause the card reading distance to be shorter or unable to read the card, if it is installed on metal, it is recommended to remove the metal from the card reader installation site before installing it.
4. Communication distance: Generally, most card readers on the market use WEIGAND communication method, generally, the communication distance of this type of card reader is about 100 meters, and 80 meters is recommended, if the installation distance is too long, the card number information will not be transmitted normally, leading to card reading the card number is wrong or cannot be transmitted. (Please check the card reader installation manual for details)
