Due to the relatively large working current of various electric locks (compared to other device of the access control system, such as access controllers and access card readers), the electric locks are at a certain distance from the access controller or controller, and the voltage drop on the lock line will be relatively big. If the pressure drop is too large, the electric lock will sometimes be able to move, sometimes not (such as the magnetic lock sometimes has insufficient suction). Shows that the door switch is abnormal. It may even grab current resources with the access controller, making the access controller insufficient power supply, restarting or even crashing.
For some engineers, it is convenient for wiring or procurement for a while, using a network cable to wire the electric lock to the access controller can easily cause malfunctions, although there seems to be no problem during debugging, problems will often occur after a period of time.
For the cable from the electric lock to the access controller, if the cable length is less than 50 meters, it is required to use a two-core power cable with a cross-sectional area of 1.0 square mm, without shielding, if it exceeds 50 meters, please double cloth and add a two-core power cord to supply power in parallel. If the cable length is greater than 100 meters, it is recommended to move the access controller closer to the door electric lock position to shorten the wiring distance. The cross-sectional area of the network cable is 0.2 square millimeters, which is 5 times smaller than our standard wire, so it is absolutely impossible, even if the distance between the access controller and the electric lock is very short. The electric lock door sensor signal line can be a network cable. Some people combine the four strands of the network cable to power the electric lock, although it is close to the norm in theory, it is not recommended.
